How RestovaAU makes money — full transparency

Which brands we have affiliate relationships with

We currently have active affiliate relationships with the following Australian mattress brands and retailers:

We do not publish individual commission percentages because these are covered by standard affiliate programme non-disclosure agreements. What we can tell you is that commission rates between the brands above are broadly comparable — no single brand pays dramatically more than another in a way that would create an incentive to favour them.

How our editorial process protects you

The scoring process for every mattress review works as follows:

1. Mattress is purchased at retail price — we do not accept free review units. This means the mattress we test is identical to what you would receive if you ordered today.
2. Testing period begins — minimum 60 nights. We track comfort, temperature, motion transfer, and support across multiple sleep positions.
3. 6-point score is calculated — using our standardised rubric. This score is finalised before we look at the commercial side.
4. Affiliate programme is checked — only after the score is locked do we verify whether an affiliate link exists. The score cannot be changed at this stage.
5. Review is published — with all findings, including negative ones. A mattress that scores 4.2/5 on our rubric is published at 4.2/5, even if the brand has a more generous commission rate than a competitor scoring 4.7/5.

What we do not do

• ✗ We do not accept payment for positive reviews or higher rankings
• ✗ We do not accept free mattresses in exchange for coverage
• ✗ We do not accept sponsored content that isn't clearly labelled as such
• ✗ We do not adjust scores based on which brand has the higher commission rate
• ✗ We do not suppress negative findings to maintain brand relationships

If a brand were to contact us and offer payment for a better ranking, we would decline and not change the score. Our long-term credibility with Australian readers is worth more than any short-term commission uplift.

How affiliate links are marked

Every link to a brand's website or product page on RestovaAU is marked with rel="nofollow sponsored" in the HTML. This is the standard required by Google and the ACCC for affiliate and commercial links. You can verify this by inspecting any "View Deal" or "Check Price" button on this site.

We display an affiliate disclosure notice at the top of every commercial page (reviews, roundups, and comparison pages) in the page header area.

RestovaAU operates in compliance with the Australian Consumer Law and the ACCC's guidelines on affiliate marketing and testimonials. All claims made about mattress performance are based on our personal testing experience and publicly available product specifications. We do not make claims we cannot substantiate.
